Balti Triangle fans are in for a
treat as the brand new 2009 Balti
Triangle Birmingham Guide hits the
streets.

The 48 page Guide is packed full of
fascinating and useful information
on everything the UK’s premier Balti
destination has to offer, from restaurant
and retail reviews to ‘cook your own’
recipes and discount vouchers for some
of the local food and retail outlets. You
can also find out where Balti originated
and what Birmingham’s celebrities enjoy
eating on a night out!

To celebrate the launch of this Guide,
Birmingham City Council held a
reception for the local community at
Al Faisal’s Piazzo Italian Restaurant,
on 4th June. This will be followed by
the Guide’s national launch at the
BBC Summer Good Food Show at the
National Exhibition Centre on 10th June.

The Balti Triangle Guide is supported
by Birmingham City Council’s Tornado
Recovery Programme, a major economic
initiative set up to rejuvenate the
Sparkbrook area following the natural
disaster in 2005. The fund has offered
assistance to over 200 businesses in
the area through Business Security
and Land and Property improvement
grants, as well as providing marketing
support, improved street amenities and
community events.

Councillor Neville Summerfield,
Birmingham City Council Cabinet
Member for Regeneration, said:
“The Balti Triangle is known around
the world for its vibrant,lively
atmosphere - I particularly want to
celebrate the underlying resilience
and strength of the area, and it’s
people and businesses.

As this Guide shows, Birmingham’s
Balti Triangle is offering a really
different experience for visitors
that just can’t be experienced
anywhere else”.
